About Nicholas Scott
Nicholas Scott was the first person to settle in the area that became Harned, Kentucky. When he died an area of the family farm was set aside for a cemetery and he was buried there. As more Scotts and Paynes died they were also buried in the plot and it became known as Scott-Payne Cemetery. Presently it is owned and operated by the town of Harned and is called the Harned Cemetery.
