Nicholas Thomasse Van Dyck, song of Thomas, b. 166-; d. Oct 27 1729; j.m. from Brooklyn, betrothed Apr 20, 1689 and March 1st. at Flatbush Tryntje Reynierse, j.d. residing under jurisdiction of Vlaakbos (F1Cr p. 32), daughter of Reynier Arentsen and Jannetje Aukes Van Nuyse, b. after 1666, d. Aug 1690; betrothed June 4, 1692 and March 2nd at Flatbush Fransyntje Hendricks, j.d. of Flackebos.
Nicholas VanDyke was an Elder in the Brooklyn Church, Aug 1, 1711 (Stillwell's Hist. of Brooklen ch., p.91-93) In 1715 Nicholas VanDyke was a member of the King's County Militia (NTDH 3:185). About 1734 he moved to New Castle County, Delaware.
