Evidence need to support as the same as Nicholas Winter. Evidence needed to support him having a son Francis Winter, Sr. born 1581 at Reading. Visitations of Gloucestershire show this Nicholas died without issue in the lifetime of his father.

William Wynter married Mary Langton (died 4 November 1573, Seething Lane, London, daughter of Thomas and Mary) and had issue:
Nicholas (died fighting Spaniards). Is said to have died in 1585 [SIC: 1586] during Drake's attack on Cartagena, “although Hakluyt fails to mention him.” No known wife or children.
