Nicholas Wright

Some researchers have hypothesized that Nicholas is the father of Peter Wright, of Knedlington and Ralfe Wright, of Knedlington. This is currently not officially established. Baptism records from the region do show that his known son Francis was born in Pollington, right outside of Snaith, as was Ralfe, and Peter was baptized just a few miles away. The catch is that both Peter and Ralfe have no father recorded for their baptism. This leads one to wonder if they were perhaps illegitimate children.

Nevertheless, the location affinities are strong enough to make it plausible that Nicholas is indeed the father of Peter and Ralfe, even if that cannot be proven.
