Larence, Norbert. (b. 1821) Norbert was born on August 27, 1821, the son of Jean Baptiste Larence and Marie Ang'e9lique Lafreniere dit Desrosiers (Louise Indian'b4'b4 or Montagnais on scrip records). This was a Pembina family that moved to St. Norbert. Before 1843 he married Josephte Parenteau the daughter of Pierre Parenteau and Josephte Laurent. They had 13 children. He represented St. Norbert at the 1870 Convention of Forty. After 1870 they moved to St. Laurent on the South Saskatchewan River.
