About Norval Castle
Lockport Daily Journal - Wed. March 12, 1890:
The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Castle of Van Buren street died this morning of spinal meningitis after a severe illness. The afflicted parents will have the sympathy of their many friends.
The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock.
Interment at Cold Springs.
Note: There are three very small matching headstones near the James D. Castle / Mary A. Castle monument.
There are no last names on the small headstones. They are as follows:
NORVAL 1889 - 1890
LUGENIA NOV. 3-5 1881
JAMES 1886 - 1887
I believe the three small headstones are those of children of James D. & Mary A. Castle.
I welcome any additions or corrections to this memorial.
These gravestones are at Lot 126 in Price Cemetery near the stone wall that surrounds the old Quaker cemetery as can be seen in the photograph of the James D. Castle monument.* Reference: Find A Grave Memorial - SmartCopy: Apr 24 2023, 18:20:49 UTC
