Mrs. James Milton Bailey
In failing health for the past year, the death of Mrs. Olive Swan Bailey, wife of James Milton Bailey occurred at the family home 16 Pleasant Street, at 7 o'clock Saturday morning. The end followed an illness of a few days only.
Mrs. Bailey was born in Mt. Ayr, Iowa, April 5, 1874. She had been a resident of Norwich for 23 years. She was a member of Broad Street Methodist Church and the Ladies Aid Society of the church. The deceased was active in church work and in the church societies while health permitted. She was devoted to her home and family and possessed a wide acquaintance. Her passing will be mourned sincerely by many friends.
Besides her husband she leaves two daughters, Miss Ruth E. Bailey and Mrs. Herbert Fentner, both of New York, two sisters, Mrs. James Buck of Mt. Ayr, Iowa, and Miss Madge Baldwin of Chicago, also three nieces in California.
Services are to be held at the George J. Devine Funeral Home at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, with Rev. Dr. W. Gray Jones officiating. Interment will be made in the family plot in Mt. Hope cemetery.
