Mrs. Olive Davis, wife of Owen L. Davis, died Wednesday at the Davis home two and a half miles northeast of Emporia, near Rinker ford. The Davises are Emporia pioneers, having lived in this county since the early sixties. They first lived in Emporia; they since moved to Pike township where they lived for a few years, and later they moved near Rinker ford, where they have been living for nearly thirty years. Mrs. Davis, during her more than two scores' residence in this county made many friends. She was noted for her kindness and gentle sympathy. She was 70 years of age and leaves a husband and a son. The son is O. L. Davis, of 1028 State Street. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 10 o'clock at the house.
