Oliver Carpenter

Oliver Carpenter was born about 1667 or 1668 (Alt: Born between 1667 - 1675) at Pawtuxet (now Warwick, RI) and died between Oct 4,1727 (when he was granted administration of his son Oliver's estate) and Nov 20,1727, when his own estate was presented, and administration granted to his widow. His will was probated Nov 25,1727.[1]

Parents: Abiah Carpenter (1643-1702), most probably by Abiah's known first wife, Mary Redway.

2. on 6 November 1721 at the Yarmouth Friend's Meetinghouse, Yarmouth, Massachusetts, to Sarah O'Killey. [1]

The Carpenter Line (See John Carpenter 1) (XII) Oliver, son of Abiah Carpenter, was born at Pawtucket about 1675, died in 1727. He resided at North Kingston, Rhode Island and owned real estate in several townships. His will was proved November 20, 1727. He married Sarah ___, who married second Robert Hall.

He married, second, at Yarmouth,MA on Nov 6,1721, Sarah O'Killey. This marriage was at the Yarmouth Friend's Meetinghouse.

The children of Oliver Carpenter were numerous, and the following is an attempt to sequence them and assign them to each marriage. This is difficult because his first wife's death date is not known, and he married again in 1721. Sources include the 1898 Carpenter Memorial and Austin's Genealogical Dictionary of Rhode Island.
