There are many references in the Kings County deed book to Oliver and to Oliver, et ux. Most of the deeds

are to "Dorcas Prentice". This Dorcas Prentice was probably his sister. There are also references to his brother James Prentice in the deed books.

The deed books indicate that the Prentice family owned property in Horton, Grand Pre Dyke, and Long Island.

All of these areas are within a 10 mile range of Horton ( today now called Kentville).
