THE BLOOMFIELD NEWS, Bloomfield, Greene County, Indiana, Thursday, May 26, 1910, Volume XXXIV, Number 28, Page 5 Column 4, "DEATH'S HARVEST.."

      After a lingering illness of nearly six weeks of jaundice and a complication of physical troubles, following an attack of la grippe, Mrs. Olevia RAINBOLT died Tuesday morning, May 24, at the home of her son, Ed RAINBOLT, and family, where she had resided since coming to Bloomfield about five years ago.
     She was a daughter of Joel and Abigail SEXSON, pioneer settlers of eastern Greene County, and was born in Center Township, January 31, 1837, being seventy-three years, three months and twenty-three days of age at the time of her death.
      She was an exemplary woman and had been a member of the M. E. church since her youth, uniting with that congregation at Hobbieville.
      She was married February 4, 1857 to Solomon RAINBOLT, who died February 23, 1899. To this union was born seven children, two of whom preceded her to the better land. The deceased were Mary RAINBOLT and Horatio S. RAINBOLT. The surviving children are Boone RAINBOLT and Ed RAINBOLT, of this place; Theo S. RAINBOLT, of Washington Township; C. S. RAINBOLT, of Omaha, Nebraska; C. H. RAINBOLT, of western Lawrence County. She also leaves two brothers, Boone SEXSON of Switz City, and Swift SEXSON, of Center Township, and one sister, Mrs. Eliza BRANDON, of Center Township.
      The remains were taken to the RAINBOLT Cemetery, in Lawrence County, Thursday morning, where services were held at the grave this afternoon by the minister of the M. E. church of Solsberry, assisted by the ministers who had known the deceased when she resided in the eastern part of this county.

      The children of Mrs. Olevia RAINBOLT desire to express to the neighbors and friends their heartfelt thanks for the many acts of kindness and assistance rendered during the last illness of their dear mother.
