Salina Journal - Mar. 25, 1994 CONCORDIA - Opal M. Regnier, 82, Concordia, died Thursday, March 24, 1994 at St. Joseph Hospital, Concordia. Mrs. Regnier was born Opal M. Demanett on May 16, 1911, in Aurora, where she lived many years with her husband. She moved to Concordia in 1965, where she worked as a housekeeper for St. Joseph Hospital for 12 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters, Women of the Moose and Boosters Club, all of Concordia.
Her husband, Adalor, died in 1966.
Survivors include two daughters, Dolores Aytes and Charlotte Read, both of Concordia; a son, Darrell Regnier of Concordia; five sisters, Mildred Burns of Topeka, Margaret Long of Clay Center, Dorothy Woellhof of Clay Center and Ruth Budd of Lancaster, Calif.; four brothers, Donald D. Demanett and Frank Demanette, both of Concordia, Wilbur Demanett of Plainville and Floyd Demanett of Hutchinson; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia, the Rev. John Lahey officiating. Burial will be in St. Concordia Cemetery. A vigil will be at 7 p.m at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.
