Ora A. Megee

Rancher Ora A. Megee, 85, of McAllister, died Wednesday at his home.

He was born Aug. 31, 1908, at Woodstock, Ill., to Lawrence and Franke Willis Megee. When he was seven years old the family moved to Bozeman, where he attended school. When he was 18 they bought a ranch four miles west of McAllister, where he ranched until his death. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bozeman and married Rose M. Southworth June 7, 1932, at Missoula.

Survivors include his wife, Rose, of McAllister, and a foster son, Merwyn Megee, of Shawnee, Kan. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Ellison and Elmer Megee and two sisters, Avis Beck and Eliza Gibbs.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Madison Valley Presbyterian Church in Ennis, with the Rev. Jean Johnson officiating.
