About Ore Janke Rib
Dina Reeb's brother, Avraham Reeb (HRB - I think he means Aharon Yaakov) had a son, Barney (Beryl) Reeb who immigrated to S Africa before 1920. He had two children a daughter and son, Avroy ( Roy) Reeb. Roy;s parents lived in the same suburb as we did in Johannesburg. I remember him as an excellent master-craftsman mechanic. He maintained all our vehicles as far back as I can remember. Roy should be abt 60 years old now and I am trying to establish contact with him. They were my father's only family from his father's side. My mother had 6 siblings and we were 22 first cousins. So it was quite unbalanced.
Aharon Rib was born in Vieksniai, Lithuania in 1880. He was married to Rakhel. Prior to WWII he lived in Vieksniai, Lithuania. During the war he was in Vieksniai, Lithuania. Aharon was murdered in 1941 in Mazeikiai, Lithuania at the age of 61. This information is based on a Page of Testimony (displayed on left) submitted by his cousin.
