TALLAHASSEE, FLA. - ORPHA SUSAN TINNEY, 93, OF Tallahassee, formerly of Birch River, W.Va., died April 20, 1995, in Heritage Health Care Center, Tallahassee, after a long illness. She was a homemaker and a retired professional cook. She was born in Roane County, W.Va. She was a member of Venice Baptist Church and former member of Birch River Baptist Church. Surviving: daughter, Phyllis Waggoner Carte of Ravenna, Ohio, Portarhee "Pat" White of Tallahassee; sister, Sylvia Walker of Charleston, W.Va.; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchild; six stepgrandchildren; 21 stepgreat-grandchildren; five stepgreat-great-grandchildren. Service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Birch River Baptist Church with the Rev. Homer Tinney and the Rev. Tom Waggoner officiating. Burial will be in Birch River Cemetery.
