About Oscar Ledesma
Oscar was appointed by President Manuel L. Quezon as Mayor of Iloilo in 1940. He joined the USAFFE when World War 2 broke out. In 1954, President Elpidio Quirino appointed him as Minister of Commerce. He became a senator in the late 1950s, and was Philippine Ambassador to the US from 1964 to 1966.
