"Illness Fatal to Otto Wohlgemuth
Otto Wohlgemuth, 61, died March 10, at his home in Butman Township, after an illness of four months. Mr. Wohlgemuth, born September 15, 1898, in Bessie, .Oklahoma, came to Gladwin at the age of five years with his parents. A resident of Detroit for several years, he returned to Gladwin County in 1945. He was a member of the Carpenters Local 1645, Midland. He married the former Miss Augusta Lau, October 3, 1920, in Bessie, Okla.
Survivors include his wife, Augusta; three sons, Lawrence, of Westmont, N. J., Wilfred, of Warren, and Otto Jr., of Detroit; four daughters, Mrs. Beulah Warren, Mrs. Marlene Gabriele, Mrs. Lulu Mae Wogan, of Detoit, and Mrs. Barbara Berry, of Gladwin; four brothers, Benjamin and Henry, of Dinuba,' Calif., Rudolph, of Ypsilanti, and William of Hooker, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Franz, of Fresno, Calif., and Mrs. Bertha Balloid, of Detroit; and 14 grandchildren.
Services were held Sunday. March 13, at the Miner Chapel. The Rev. James Hulett officiated and burial was in McClure Cemetery." Gladwin County Record dated 3-16/1960 Column – 3 Page – 1.
