About PVT. Levi Oaks

Date & place of birth taken from WW I & WW II Draft Registration Cards

Grandpa Levi had fourteen children one by the name of Walter by his first wife Florence McIntosh who died giving birth to Walter. He then married my Grandmother Florence Thomas and they had thirteen children. Six girls and seven boys. My father Elmer Ray Oaks had six brothers and six sisters and one half brother Walter. Gladys was the oldest, James Edward,Elmer Ray, John Floyd, Levi Junior, Thelma Jean, Samuel Henry, Golden, Helen Ruth, Willard Clarence, Charles Marvin , and Eudell was the youngest.Gladys was born in 1922 and Eudell in 1949. While trying to do our family history the computer tells me I made a mistake, there's no way this is right because of the widespread difference in age. They sure had a big family. Children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grand children. Please let's join forces and see just how big this family really is.
