

Patience Nock was born circa 1734 at Accomack County, VA. She was the daughter of Benjamin Nock (1690-1766) and Rose Armey Trader (1702-1755).
Patience Nock married her 1st husband, Thomas Bagwell (c 1714-1764) circa 1756. He was the son of Henry Bagwell & Margaret Drummond.
As of 1765, her married name was Bagwell.
Patience & Thomas Bagwell were the parents of 3 children: Stephen Bagwell (c 1760-1786); Jane Bagwell (c 1762-1786) and Rose "Rosey" Bagwell (b c 1764).
After Thomas died in June of 1765, Patience married her 2nd husband, Acar, also known as Ackworth circa 1765.
As of 1765, her married name was Acar.
Patience was named in her father's will on July 7, 1765 at Accomack County, VA. She was shown as daughter, Patience Accar in the will of Benjamin Nock.
She made a will on November 27, 1790 at Accomack County, VA. To granddaughter Elizabeth Arlington and should she die before me to be divided between Elizabeth Ward & Sophia Nock. Two grandchildren, Thomas Bagwell Arlington & Elizabeth Arlington residual legatees. Son-in-law, John Arlington, Executor. Witness: Cornelius Harmon and Francis Harmon.
Patience died before February 27, 1797 in Accomack County, VA. It was on this date that her will was probated.
