Patience Tinkham

Descendant of Mayflower passenger George Soule

Biography

Patience Cob, daughter of John Cob (abt.1661-1727) and his wife, Rachel (Soule) Cobb (abt.1663-1727), great granddaughter of Mayflower passenger, George Soule, was born in Middleboro, Massachusetts, 23 September 1693.[1][2]

Marriage

Patience Cob and Samuel Tinkham were married in Middleboro, 20 Feb 1717/8.[1][2] Samuel, son of Ephraim and Esther (Wright) Tinkham, was a descendant of Mayflower passengers Peter Brown and Francis Cooke. He was born in Middleboro, 19 March 1687/8, and died there 16 Mar 1775. After Patience's death, Samuel married 22 Mar 1730/1, Melatiah Eddy. He and Melatiah had children: Ephriam, Patience, Samuel, Silas, Fear, Martha, Lois and Sarah.[1]

Death

"Patience Tinkham the wife of Samuel Tinkham senr Deceased November the : 4th : 1727 : In the : 35th year of her age".[2] She and Samuel are buried at "The Green." [1][3]

Patience had no known children.[1]
