FORT KENT Patrick N. Daigle, 91, passed away on September 18, 2018, at a Frenchville health care facility. He was born on April 24, 1927, a son of the late Roderique and Delina (Labbe) Daigle. Patrick was a World War II veteran with the Sea Bee Unit of the Navy and is an honorary member of the American Legion Post 133 in Fort Kent. While in Connecticut, he worked mainly for Exon Mobil, as a bulk gas delivery driver. After his retirement, he moved to his home town of Fort Kent where he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was very involved with the Fort Kent SnoRiders Club, maintaining trails with many nights of grooming.
He is survived by his brother, Oreen Daigle and his wife, Monique, of Fort Kent; as well as many nieces and nephews. Patrick was predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years, Theresa (Cote) Daigle; two sisters, Bernice Daigle and Julie Lipka; four brothers, Maurice, Bernard, Lorenzo, and Wilmer Daigle.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Louis Church at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 24, 2018. In keeping with Patrick's wishes, there will be no callings hours. Interment will be held at the VA Cemetery in Caribou, at the convenience of the family.
