I, Patrick Hamilton of Charles County, am sick & weak of body, but of sound and disposing mind and memory. To my wife Ann Hamilton - my lands & other estate, during her natural life. To my son William Hamilton - at the death of my wife, all my lands. To my grandson Francis Patrick Hamilton - at the death of my wife, a Negro girl named Fanny, with her increase. At the death of my wife, I want all my personal estate to be equally divided among all my children or their heirs, except the above Negro Fanny, who shall be the property of my grandson, Francis Patrick, as above willed. My will is that my son William, on his getting possession of my land shall pay to my son Edward Hamilton, 4000 lbs of crop tobacco. Signed September 20, 1790 - Patrick Hamilton. Wit - Henry H.
