NEW ALBANY EVENING TRIBUNE, New Albany, Indiana, Friday, September 15, 1893, Page 4, Column 2: Deaths Patrick Mack, aged 44 years, died yesterday afternoon at 4:55 o'clock at his home on East Fourth, near Main street after an illness of six weeks of typhoid fever. He leaves a wife and four children, John, Joseph, Katie and Mamie Mack. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic church from which place the funeral will be held. He had been an engineer on the Pennsylvania road for twenty-nine years and for twenty one years had been on the Dinky line between this city and Louisville. He was at the throttle of the first engine sent over the Pennsylvania bridge after its completion.
NEW ALBANY PUBLIC PRESS, New Albany, Indiana, Wednesday, September 20, 1893, Page 4: Deaths During The Week Patrick Mack, aged forty-four years, one of the oldest engineers in point of service on the Louisville division of the P., C., C. & St. L. railroad, died Thursday at his home on Upper Fourth street, after an illness of several weeks. He leaves a wife and four children, two of whom are grown. Mr. Mack's service had been for 25 years between New Albany and Louisville.

MICHIGAN CITY NEWS, Wednesday, September 20, 1893, Page 5: The remains of Patrick Mack who removed from this city a few years ago after a residence of many years here and in the vicinity, were brought here at eleven o'clock this morning from New Albany, where his death occurred Friday, of brain fever. The remains were taken to St. Mary's church whence after the funeral services, interment took place in Greenwood cemetery
