Funeral services for the late Pat O'Neill were held Monday forenoon at St; Mary's Catholic church. His, obituary with several columns of local news, miscellany and editorial matter crowded out of this issue.
Note: He didn't make it into the next issue, March 1, either. So Ackley's newspaper skipped Patrick O'Neill.

Ackley, la-—Patrick O'Neill, 76, died early Friday at his home here after several years illness from paralysis.
He formerly was employed as towerman for Illinois Central railway here.
Survivors are the widow, formerly Hattie Phinney; two daughters, Mrs. Martin Larsen, Sioux City, and Miss Anna O'Neill, Ackley; one granddaughter; two brothers and three sisters: Michael O'Neill, west of Ackley; David O'Neill, Mrs. Hugh Flannery, Mrs. Maggie Fitzgerald, all of Iowa Falls, and Mrs. Kate Fahey, Portland, Ore.

Ackley, la.—Funeral services for Patrick E. O'Neill, 75, who died here Friday morning after a lingering Illness, will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic church with Rev. Fr. J.J. O'Meara, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.
O'Neill was born in Schenectady, N.Y., Nov. 12, 1858 but had made his home in Iowa for more than 50 years. He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Martin Larsen, Sioux City, Ia., and Miss Anne O'Neill, at home; one son, David, Iowa Falls, and three sisters, Mrs. Hugh Flannery and Mrs. Maggie Fitzgerald, Iowa Falls, and Mrs. Kate Fahey. Portland, Ore. Two brothers preceded him in death.
[note: the above paragraph refers to a son David. There was no son, and this apparently is a reference to his brother David. The other obituaries here mention two surviving brothers, David and Michael.]

Funeral services for Patrick O'Neill, 76, who died early Friday morning following illness due to infirmities of age, was conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic church by Rev. J.J. O'Meara. Interment was in the St. Mary's cemetery. Mr. O'Neill was born November 12, 1868 at Schenectady, New York, and has lived In Iowa for over 50 years. Besides the widow he is survived by two daughters. Mrs. Martin Larson of Sioux City. Miss Anna O'Neill at home, one grand daughter, Patricia Anne Larson; two brothers and two sisters. Michael O'Neill of Ackley, David O'Neill, Mrs. Hugh Flannery and Mrs. Maggie Fitzgerald of Iowa Falls.
