She was a former Lovell resident who traveled to the Big Horn Basin in 1900 in a covered wagon to help colonized it. She was born July 23, 1879, to Perrigrine and Sarah Ann Sessions in Bountiful, Utah. In 1898 she was married to Wilder True Hatch, who died in 1907. In 1918 she was married to Robert Scott in Salt lake City. He died in 1933. In 1948 she was married to Charles Mann, who died in 1956. The Freedom Foundation of Valley Forge recently notified her of an award for her outstanding contribution to America as a pioneer colonizer and church leader.
She is survived by one daughter, Delilah Brown, of Salt Lake City; 20 grandchildren; 78 great-grandchildren; 107 great-great-grandchildren; and three great-great-great-grandchildren.
Three children preceded her in death, Clifford Hatch, Wilder True Hatch, Jr., and Thora Hatch Rollins Waston. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the Lovell LDS Stake Chapel with Bishop Larry Sessions officiating. Burial will be in the Byorn Cemetery.Haskell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Patty also had a daughter named Delilah born in 1906, but I'm not sure when she passed away. She must have been very special to her sister, Thora, because Thora named her first born daughter, Delilah.
