About Paul Hermann Emil Ernst Adolph Ronneberg

Note: The correct order of Christian names is as follows: "Hermann Emil Ernst Paul Adolph". Paul is the name, which was used in daily life to call him. In this profile, the name Paul is distinguished by displaying it in the first position of the headline, although its correct position is the 4 th one. This makeshift seems to be the only reasonable way to show all Christian names as well as to distinguish the name of daily life, when using the available GENi-software.

Paul was unmarried. He lived on Gut Insel and administered Gut Insel together with his mother Gertrud Ronneberg (Holter) in the name of his brother Hermann, who was the legal owner since 1890. Paul was a pharmacist. In 1911, he died as a pensioner ("Rentner"). Thus, since 1911 there was no family member available any more for Hermann to further on administering Gut Insel. (Hermann was living in Lütjenburg, Schleswig-Holstein, since many years at that time).

Godfather of Paul was his uncle of mother's side, Hermann Lahmann. Hermann Lahmann is the author of a still preserved letter to his wife Elise being dated "Münster, August 11, 1859", i.e. he wrote the letter immediately after Paul's baptism in Münster on the day before (August 10, 1859). The letter describes the actual events of that day on Gut Insel and the participants of the baptism celebration. The original letter is available in the Ronneberg file of Bruno Klahn II.

The street "Ronnebergweg" in Münster is named after Paul since 1931. In this street, a church "Geistkirche" was build in 1928. On Oct 21, 1958, i.e. exactly 30 years after its foundation-stone was layed, the local newspaper "Münstersche Zeitung" explained their readers the name of that street. The article was illustrated by a photo of Paul Ronneberg, which was reproduced from the wedding photo of Wilhelm and Sophie Klahn in 1906 (supplier: Jürgen Klahn I, today in the Ronneberg file of Bruno Klahn II).
