Loving Wife, Mother, Grandma, and Friend
Pauline Konrath was born in Lone Pine, California. She grew up up in Modesto, Ca and attended Grace Davis High School.
She married Harold Konrath in 1977 when her life began as a loving wife and mother. They had 3 beautiful children and have 2 grandchildren and 1 on the way. Her most treaured moments are being at the coast with her grandchildren and spending time with her family.
She took pride in her beautiful backyard; it was full of flowers and trees that she planted herself. Pauline loved to read books out on her patio and watched the birds feed from all 12 of her feeders. Pauline loved shopping and always knew how to get a good deal on just about everything. Pauline loved to put on a good party, they were always well attended by her friends. She also watched and supported her children through many sporting and school activities, she was also a board member for CMST swim club , board member of Bel Passi Baseball. She was a loyal friend who was loved by many.
Pauline was diagnosed with Uteran Cancer 17 months ago and fought until the day she passed away. Her husband was by her side every step of the way. He cared and loved her every day of her life.
Pauline worked in Banking and Marketing for over 30 years. She loved her job at Oak Valley Community Bank where she enjoyed her customers and all her friends that she worked with.
Pauline touched many lives. She had the ability to love so many on all different levels. She had a non-judgmental heart and a wonderful sense of humor. She will be missed by all.
Pauline is preceded in death by her Mom and Dad, Lester and Lucille Gagon.
Pauline leaves behind her husband Harold Konrath of 35 years and 3 children, Elizabeth Zappacosta and husband Nickos Zappacosta, 2 grandchildren Kayla, Vinny, and soon to be Dominick Zappacosta, Katie Konrath of Modesto and Aaron Konrath of Modesto. She leaves behinds mother-in-law Marie Nelson and father-in-law, Harold and Marge Konrath Sr., brother William Gagon of Modesto, sister Kathy Wood of North Carolina, brother Russell (Sandra) Gagon of Modesto and sister Joanne Gagon of Utah, sister and brother-in-law, Patti and Randy McGee of Modesto.
Services will be held at the Church of Latter-Day Saints on Sylvan Avenue Thursday June 28th at 10:00am.
Burial to follow at Burwood Cemetery Escalon. In lieu of flowers please send all donations to Alexander Cohen Hospice House 2201 Euclid Ave., Hughson, California 95326.
