The Rockford City Directory for 1892 listed him as a finisher for Mechanics Furniture Company and as a resident at 1104 Kishwaukee Street. The Rockford City Directory for 1894-1895 listed Peter Holmberg as a laborer residing at 1818 Kishwaukee Street. The Rockford City Directory for 1896-1897 listed him as a boarder at 605 7th Street. The 1900 U.S. Census shows Peter Holmberg living in Rockford, Winnebago Co., IL. The Rockford City Directory for 1900-1901 listed him as retired and residing at 1216 Ninth Avenue. According to the "Rockford Svenskar," the Holmbergs were Lutherans and Republicans. He was shown in "The Republic's Rockford City Directory" for 1904 as residing at 1216 9th Avenue. Per died in a fire at the home of his daughter, Emma, at 1216 Ninth Avenue.

Immigrated 1867. 4 children living at time of death. He was living with a "Larson" family at the time.
