Percy Augustus Rowe was the second of seven children born to Franklin Rowe and Mary Noyes in Walworth, Wisconsin.
When Percy was 2 yrs. old he came to Iowa in a covered wagon with his parents Franklin & Mary Noyes Rowe. He united with the church at an early age and lead an active Christian life. His parents moved to Humboldt Co., Iowa in 1876. He lived in or near that county until 1907 when he moved to Lake Park, Dickinson County, Iowa leaving there for Kirksville, MO in 1920 where he lived the remainder of his 79 years. He was a farmer, feeding large numbers of cattle and sheep. In his early married life, Percy and Florence Knowles Rowe took in Willie Seeley, a 6 year old Orphan Train boy, who was born in New York. He survived both of them.

6. Leslie Nathan Rowe b. Nov. 16, 1902 Weaver Twp., Humboldt Co, IA
7. Lottie Belle Rowe b. July 4, 1904 Weaver Twp., Humboldt Co, IA
8. Kenneth A. Rowe b. Feb. 27 1906 d. Dec. 24, 1937
9. Clara Mae Rowe b. Feb. 12, 1909 Lake Park, IA d.
10.Mary Adeline Rowe lived 13 months 1910-1911 died of pneumonia.
After his beloved wife, Florence Knowles, daughter of Abram Henry Knowles and Adeline Eliza Wilber, died, Percy life changed and for the next six years his health went downhill.
Near the end of his life, Percy lived with his daughter, Clara Rowe Lovell on their farm just outside of Kirksville, MO where he died of a stroke. His body was interred at the Silver Lake Cemetery, Lake Park ,Iowa next to his first wife, Florence May Knowles Rowe.
