Perry Oliver Churchill

   Perry Oliver Churchill was born Sep 19, 1838 in Harwinton Ct,  the six of nine children of David M Churchill & Sally ( Hine ) Churchill . He married Sarah Woodruff of Washington Ct and had one child, Bertha Churchill who was born in Washington, Ct c 1863. Although he was of age, there is no record of him serving in the Civil War ( as his younger brother Charles Carrol Churchill did )

   He is listed in the 1860 census as a farmer living w/ his mother , a recent widow the prior year. In the 1870 Census , he is married and living in Washington,Ct with wife Sara & daughter Bertha. occupation shoemaker.
