Peter Chase

Peter Chase was a farmer and one of the early residents of Jamaica, Windham County, Vermont.

He was born in February 24, 1770 to Henry and Abigail (Stratton) Chase of Petersham, Worcester County, Massachusetts. On March 15, 1798, he married Mary "Polly" Holt in Petersham. Between January 1802 and January 1804, Peter and Abigail moved to Jamaica with their three oldest children.

• Daniel - b. September 28, 1805 in Jamaica; d. 1888
• Henry P. - b. July 21, 1808 in Jamaica; d. August 7, 1831
• Sally - b. September 24, 1810 in Jamaica; d. November 8, 1868
• Polly - b. May 3, 1812 in Jamaica
• Martin (I) - b. August 3, 1813 in Jamaica; d. October 15, 1814 in Jamaica
• Martin (II) - b. May 9, 1815 in Jamaica; d. April 19, 1862
• Lucina - b. April 29, 1821 in Jamaica; d. September 6, 1862

Mary died in 1829. On June 20, 1832, Peter married Sally Lawton. She died on July 28, 1844. Peter died on August 16, 1851 in Jamaica.
