The family of the later Mr. and Mrs. Peter Dial, Sr. of Robeson County will have a family reunion Sunday October 2 at the home of a grandson and his family, Mrs. and Mrs. George Dial of Chavis Street.
Dinner will be served about 1 p.m. All relatives are invited to attend and bring a covered dish.
The children of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Dial were Mrs. John (Polly) Deese, Mrs. Tom (Susie) Deese, Mrs. Hughie (Dorcas) Brayboy, Mrs. Frank (Jane) Jacobs, Mrs. Clarence (Roxie) Sanderson, Mrs. Bemus (Maggie) Blue, Mrs. Coldon (Mary) Brooks, Joe Dial, Pete Dial Jr., Plummer Dial, and Bunk Dial.

Peter was the son of George and Mary Lowrie Dial. He married Mary Jacobs about 1865. He married Lottie Lowry about 1896 according to the 1900 Federal Census, but they were divorced or separated by the 1920 Federal Census.
His sister, Sarah Dial, is also buried at Harpers Ferry. His brother, John Dial, and his sister, Susan Dial Locklear, are buried at Christian (Locklear) cemetery in Saddletree, NC. His brother, James Edmund Dial, Sr., is buried at the Dial Cemetery in Lumberton, NC. His paternal uncle, Willis Dial, is buried at Saint Annah Freewill Baptist, in Pembroke, NC.
