A Patriot of the American Revolution for PENNSYLVANIA with the rank of Private. DAR Ancestor # A066026

Peter KLINE was born on 27 Apr 1741 in Germany. He died on 22 Dec 1819 at Weisenberg Twp., Lehigh Co., PA. He was buried on 25 Dec 1819 in Old Zeigel's Cemetery, Weisenberg Twp., Lehigh Co., PA. He arrive with his family on the PHOENIX on 20 Oct 1744 in Philadelphia, PA.

Peter was in the Pa Militia during the Revolutionary War. He was a private from 26 Oct 1780 - 31 Oct 1781 in the 3rd Battlion in Capt. Joseph Siegfried's Company. 
In about 1770, Peter bought 260 acres of land from Philip Kleinert in the southern part of Weisenberg Township. A miller by trade, he erected a log grist-mill on the property about 1780, whch he sold to his son, Lorentz, with part of his farm in 1803, This mill burned down and a second one, also built of logs, was erected and stood until 1875, when a large frame mill was built. This later mill had both water and steam power.
