Peter Leonard is the second son of John Leonard and his wife, Helen Gibbon. He was born of 7 April 1833, probably at Upper Kirkgate (Otherwise Gate-side) in the Wasbister district of Rousay, and his baptism was registered at Rousay on 21 April 1833 [Scotland, Births and Baptisms, 1564-1950, index, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/X18N-G4V : accessed 17 Sep 2014), Peter Lennard, 07 Apr 1833; citing , reference ; FHL microfilm 990507 His baptismal record reads as follows: "Peter son to John Lennard & Nelly Gibben, or Gibsen, Gate-side Wasbyster was born 7 April & baptized the 21 same month before witnesses"[Registrar General for Scotland, New Register House, Edinburgh, Rousay Baptisms, 1819-54, reference OPR.24/2 folio 140]
Death
