Peter J. Paul, 71, St. Anthony, North Dakota died October 21, 2002 at St Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck, North Dakota. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery, Mandan, North Dakota.

Peter was born November 13, 1930 in St. Anthony, North Dakota, the son of Joseph and Franciska (Hoffman) Paul.

He was raised and educated in St. Anthony, North Dakota. He lived and farmed in that area all of his life and retired from farming 10 years ago. Peter enjoyed the family farm, watching and feeding wildlife, fishing, traveling, sightseeing and spending time with his family.

Peter married Eileen Knoll on October 7, 1954 at St Anthony Catholic Church. The recently celebrated their 50th anniversary. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, St Anthony Verein, Fallon Verein, Mandan Moose and Mandan Eagles.

Survivors include his wife, Eileen; one son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Cindy Paul, Glendale, Arizona; one grandchild, Jason Paul and his fiancee Athena Barrios.

He is also survived by 5 brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Leona Paul, Bismarck, North Dakota; George and Francis Paul, Linton, North Dakota; Fabian and Gardy Paul and Tony and Elaine Paul, all of Mandan, North Dakota; and Nick and Rose Paul, Cody, Wyoming; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Clara Markel and her friend Frank Schmidt, Margaret and Pete Fried and Pat and Steve Mildenberger, all of Mandan, North Dakota; and one sister-in-law, Frances Paul.

He was preced in death by his parents; one brother, John; one brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Monia Paul; one sister and brother-in-law, Margaret Paul; one brother-in-law, Egnatz Markel; and one infant brother, Leo.
