Peter Phinney married Susanna Chadwick. Intentions of marriage were published Feb 17, 1757 and they were married Jan 10, 1760.
Susanna Chadwick was born in 1738 and died Jan 30 1814 in her 76 year.
Records in the State House in Boston, stated that Peter Phinney was enrolled as a private in Sept 1778, also a pay abstract of Capt. Samuel Fish's Co., Col Nathaniel Freeman's Regiment, for service 8 days as guard at Waquoit. Marched on alarm at Falmouth in Sept 1778.
Peter Phinney was elected Constable, May 23, 1780.
He was elected Collector, Mar 5, 1782
He was on the Grand Jury, mar 18, 1799
Elected to State Valuation in 1811
He moved to Waquoit from Barnstable and spent the remainder of his life there. He and his wife both died in Waquoit, and are buried there.
