Note: He was the son of Peter Wiebe, b. 1815-1824, and his second wife, ___ Epp Peter's son, Peter (b. 1886) writes that he was a "chip off the old block." That would indicate that his father must have had more of an artistic bent and as a result was a failure as a farmer. He was, however, an artisan. He built furniture and musical instruments, including a violin which is rumored to have made it to Canada.
