Baldur Petri Bryk ( 13. The December 1913 Sortavala - July 25, 1977 Helsinki ) was a Finnish CEO, inventor, metallurgist , engineer and CEO.

Education and Work

Petri Bryk's father was in Vienna born writer, painter and entomologist Felix Bryk . Petri Bryk was born in Sortavala, where he became the first school years. From there, his family moved to Stockholm, where he began attending a classical grammar school. The family soon returned to Finland, he continued his education in 1932 and graduated from the Helsinki Swedish Normal Lyceum .

Outokumpu Oyj She joined in 1938 and served the company until the year 1972. Bryk became Outokumpu metallurgist, 1947, Member of the Executive Board in 1949 and CEO Eero Mäkinen after the death in 1953 of Outokumpu Oyj CEO. Outokumpu his greatest merit may be considered in 1945-1949 developed a copper flash smelting method .

Bryk sister is a ceramic artist Rut Bryk .
