Death===Phebe's husband, Henry Hewitt married for the third time on 30 Mar 1784, thus the death of Phebe (Prentice) Hewitt probably occurred during the timespan between 1778 and 1784. No death record or grave has been found for Phebe so far. This seems to be a running theme with this particular branch of the family.<ref name=Wheeler1875>Wheeler, Richard A. Additional Information

Discovered in N. Stonington:The Prentice family lived for about a hundred years on a portion of land granted to Capt. Thomas Prentice "the Trooper" of Massachusetts in the late 1600's or early 1700's. There are no land transfer records inthe N. Stonington Clerk's office because the land was passed on from generation to generation. Thomas passed it on to his grandson Samuel Sr., who passed it on to his son Deacon Samuel Prentice Jr. who was town clerk of Stonington, CT from 1743 - 1773. (His signature can still be seen on the land records at the Stonington Clerk's Office. )The plot of land occupied by the family was on part of what is now thePequot Indian Reservation near N. Stonington. If you search Google Maps for N. Stonington CT you can zoom in and find Prentice Mountain andPrentice Brook. The Prentice Cemetery can still be found in the woodsnearby. The grave of Phebe's father Samuel Jr. is in the Prentice Cemetery in North Stonington.<ref>Find A Grave, database and images (accessed 08 July 2019), memorial page for Deacon Samuel Prentice, Jr (25 Nov 1702–11 Oct 1773), FindAGravesameas=no, citing Prentice Cemetery, North Stonington, New London County, Connecticut, USA ;Maintained by C&P * LaPlante Files (contributor 46814587).</ref>
