About Phebe Peckham
Daughter of William Weeden. 2nd wife of Rev. William Peckham
1734, 9, 24. Will, proved 1745. Phebe Peckham, widow. Exs., three daughters, Mary Barker, Phebe Weeden, Deborah Clarke. Witnesses, Edward Cornell, Nicholas Little, Wm. Weeden. Inventory, 165, 16s. To granddaughter Phebe, daughter of my son Samuel, 1 silver spoon. To graddaughter Phebe Barker, little brass kettle and 1 silver spoon. To granddaughter Deborah Barker, 1 silver spoon. To three daughters, viz.: Mary Barker, Phebe Weeden, and Deborah Clarke, all the rest of estate; 1/2 to Deborah, and other 1/2 to Mary and Phebe equally. As she did not mention William Peckham, 3 or any of his children, it is probable he was a son of Wm. Peekham2 by first wife. Perhaps the daughter Mary Barker was wife of that James Barker who traditionally is given Mary Cook for his wife. He had daughters Phebe, Deborah, etc.
