Per email from Rose Mangan, 01-25-1999: "17-6 Philemon signed Oath of Fidelity 1778; Will written 21 Sept 1818 Montgomery County, MD. Codicil to will 29 Aug 1820, proved 15 Sept 1820. Wife dead by the time Philemon's will was written.; Son, Philemon Plummer and to his heirs (no wife know and no children named in his will) $266, current money, one negro girl, named Eliza, gun, shot bag, powder horn, apples from my orchard annually to make three hundred gallons of cider, provided that 1/3 quantity of apples in any one year. If the quantity of apples here mentioned should exceed one third of the whold quantity in any one year, I give him the privilege of taking one third of the whold quantity in any such year.; Son, Joseph and his heirs; Son, William and his heirs; Daughter, Sarah Anderson (Sephen) and her heirs; Eight hundred dollars of current money to be equally divided between these three; To my three grandsons: Philemon Plummer, son of son, Joseph Plummer; Philemon Plummer, son of son, William Plummer; Philemon Plummer, son of daughter, Sarah Anderson To each of these Grandson, $150.00 current money to be divided between them.; To each of the children of my daughter Nancy by her first husband, John Moore, $50.00 each.; To two grand-children, daughters of George Plummer and heir heirs, $100.00.; Elenor Joseph, a poor woman, support and maintanence as long as she lives at my dwelling.; To each of my negroes I give freedom and declare them free from bondage and after the day of their arrival 30 years of age and under 45, at the time of my decease, they should immediately be free. Philemon Plummer, signed with a large P; Witness: Thomas David, Nathan Musgrove, Sr., Frederick Gaither; Codicil dated 29 August, 1820; Children of my negro women after my death and during their servitude shall be free at 25 years of age.; Philemon Plummer, signed with a P Witness: Thomas Davis, Frederick Gaither; A warrant on 40 acres in Prince Georges County, "Batchelor's Choice", was granted to Philemon Plummer 5 Dec 1722, "Addition to Batchelor's Choice", a warrant on 97 acres subject to Calverton Manor adjoining the former tract was added 4 Dec 1733/4, (7) Richard Snowden assigned his warrant on "DeButts Delight" to Philemon 10 Sep 1739. This 50 acre tract was located in what later became Frederick County, n the forks of two branches on the south side of Linganore Creek near the present site of Linganore Filtration Plant, subject to Calverton or Conoccocheague Manor (as the certificate staes) with a yearly rent of two pounds.

The Prince Georges County November Court of 1740 received a petition from Henry, Richard and Richard Jr. Touchstone, John Nelson, George Murdock, John Beais Abington, George Colvin, Thomas Prather, Baltis Cout, Robert Jones, James Hook, Isaac Wells, Joseph Ogle, John Middaugh, Chidley Matthews, Robert DeButts, John Pyburn, John Martin, Henry Ballenger, Geore Matthews, John Wright, Michael Resiner, Bernard Weymore, Martin Wetzel, Patrick Holagon, Phillimon (sic) Plumer, James Orrick, Thomas Fee and others (unnamed), for a road from John Pyborn's to John Nelson's for the benefit of our mill and our church. This petition indicates the road from the mouth of Monocacy River beside a part of Little Monocacy past Elting's Mill to the Monocacy Chapel is present day Beallsville.(9)"Will: Liber M, Folio 272 to 276, Montgomery County, MD"
