U.S. Army, Retired Major Philip Bonham Larimore, a retired professor of geography at LSU and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2003, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center at the age of 78. He was a native of Memphis, Tenn., and was a highly decorated U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Maxine Wilson Larimore; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Dr. Walter Lee and Barbara Larimore, William Bruce and Karen Larimore, Philip Wilson Larimore and Jennifer Erin Cantwell, and Richard Byron Larimore; and seven grandchildren, Katherine Lee and Scott Bonham Larimore, Kristine Lucille Larimore, and Philip Jacob, Bradford William, Kolbie Marie and Holden William Parker Larimore.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip Bonham Larimore and Ethyl McClanahan Larimore.
He was a member of St. Alban's Chapel, a graduate of the University of Virginia and a retired Boy Scouts of America scoutmaster for University United Methodist Church Troop 50 and St. Margaret's Episcopal Church Troop 505.
