About Philippus Jeremias (Kaleshaan) Coetser, b1c12d3e2

After the Groot Trek, perhaps already in Natal before the Coetzers (and others) moved on to Lydenburg where they established the ZAR (Zuid Afrikaanse Republiek), Philippus Jeremias Coetser replaced the 'z. in his surname with an 's'. Perhaps this was accidentally and error by one or another officer, but I do believe it was intentionally done. His offspring were therefor all registered and babtised as Coetser.
