4-18-2012:

There is now a question of just where Phoebe was born............ her death certificate lists Patterson as her place of birth, in 1900 (age 11) she is living with her family in Patterson, and her obituary lists Patterson. Yet, Alice's birth record lists Phoebe's birthplace as Pawling. I'm going with Patterson for now and will keep looking for her birth record. End of revision.

3-26-2012:

Added a copy of the death certificate. The 'informant' was Hugh. I'm not sure why he said that Phoebe's father, George, was born in Germany or, for that matter, why her name is spelled 'Phebe'. Just FYI: I submitted a search request of marriage records in New Milford and there was not one for Phoebe and Hugh.

12-10-2011:

Added a page from the Pawling 1900 U.S. Census. Click on the media tab above, then select the document "1900 Census - Ett". You will see Phoebe listed as living with her parents, George and Almira, as well as a few other names that you recognize.
