Phyllis danced with the Chester Hale Dancers (also known as the Chester Hale Girls) on Broadway during the 1920s. Among her appearances was in the ensemble of "Broadway Nights," a musical review choreographed by Busby Berkeley and Chester Hale in 1929 at the 44th Street Theater.
