

Phyllis Frances Blackburn is the daughter of Hon. Robert Francis Leslie Blackburn, Lord Blackburn and Lady Constance Frances Bowes-Lyon. She married Brigadier Gawain Basil Rowan-Hamilton, son of Lt.-Col. Frederick Temple Rowan Rowan-Hamilton and Blanche Mary Fellowes-Gordon, on 5 October 1916.
From 5 October 1916, her married name became Rowan-Hamilton. She was with the First Aide Nursing Yeomanry and APM Military Police during the Second World War. She lived in 1976 at Tullymacnowes House, Toye, Killyleagh, County Down, Ireland.
