2 December 1933 - The Herald MISS PHYLLIS HORNIDGE, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs B. W. Hornidge, "Bexley," Glenhuntly Road, Elwood, whose engagement is announced to Mr Ralph Reginald (Rex) Toy, eldest son of Mr and Mrs R. Toy, Chaucer Street, St. Kilda,

18 May 1935 Herald Newspaper Toy — Hornidge Golden and tawny chrysanthemum formed the decorative scheme in the Elwood Methodist Church, Mitford Street, Elwood, this afternoon for the wedding of Marjorie Phyllis eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs B.W. Hornidge, Bexley, Glenhuntly Road, Elwood and Ralph Reginald, eldest son of Mr and Mrs R. Toy, "Toyne," Smith Street, St. Kilda. The service, which was fully choral was performed by Rev. W. H. Scurr. As the bride entered the church on her father's arm, she made a charming picture in her frock of gleaming white satin, the bodice of which had a cowl neck caught with a spray of orange blossom and wide dolman sleeves. The skirt flowed away at the back to form a graceful train, and a veil of misty tulle was caught to the head with a chaplet of orange blossom. Her bouquet was of bouvardias and azaleas. Misses Dulcie and Joyce Hornidge and Mavis McLennan were bridesmaids. Their long frocks of Marina green poult-de-soie were made with wide rovers which folded back over the top of the arms. Matching tulle bonnets were worn and they carried 1830 posies. Mr Charles Taylor was best man, and Mr Trevor Minster groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Kiosk, Point Ormond,
