Anoka Herald Newspaper, Tuesday, April 28, 1914:
Sunday evening Peter LaPoint fell from stairs at his home in town of Anoka and broke his neck. Deceased was a widower, age 88 years. For the past fifty years he has been a resident of Anoka County and was well and favorably known. He leaves two sons, Frank LaPoint and Paul LaPoint of Anoka township and Mrs. Perry of Minneapolis, Mrs. Mango and Mrs. Patton of White Bear. Interment will be Wednesday at Centerville.

Peter LaPoint, 88 years old, living near Fridley, fell down stairs and broke his neck Sunday. The funeral was held Tuesday at Centerville. He was a pioneer citizen.
