Biography
Born in 1880 based on the statement by Carla Joinson that when he died on September 12, 1931, he was 51 years old. Notes that indicate that he was from Shiprock, NM are not clear as to whether he was born there or just under the jurisdiction of the Shiprock Agency which also included the far northeast corner of Arizona.

-the February 23, 1934 ltr. by Dr. L.L. Culp locates him in tier 2 #65 and has him as Pugay Beel, Shiprock, NM, No. Navajo
-Find a Grave has him identified as Pugay Bill
-Carla Joinson has his date of admission to the Canton Asylum as February 16, 1931, his diagnosis is unknown, but he seems to have lived only seven months after admission
