About Pvt. (CSA), John Jones Lilly

John J. Lilly fought for the Confederacy during the American Civil War in Company H, 4th Texas Cavalry Regiment. He enlisted on July 12, 1862 in Nacogdoches, TX. He was captured by the Union on November 25, 1863 at Vermilion Bayou. He was held in New Orleans, LA until December 21, 1863, when he was sent to New Iberia, LA for exchange. He was furloughed on February 29, 1864
